Hales AC is a trusted Tampa Bay HVAC company—part of Right Away Group, which operates three brands across Florida. We're looking for an Operations Manager who wants to build something, not just manage it.
This is NOT a desk job. You'll be in the field regularly—riding with technicians, coaching in real-time, and ensuring every job meets our standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Lead Service, Install, IAQ, Dispatch, and Warehouse departments
• Train and develop field teams through hands-on coaching and ride-alongs
• Track KPIs and drive performance (average ticket, callback rate, customer satisfaction)
• Recruit, onboard, and retain technicians and installers
• Ensure techs are presenting upgrades, IAQ solutions, and memberships professionally
• Maintain quality—every job to code, every customer satisfied
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We'll consider two paths:
1. Experienced HVAC Operations Manager with a track record of building high-performing teams
2. Senior Service or Install Technician ready to step into leadership—you've trained others, you're the one everyone goes to for answers, and you're ready to run the show
Either way, you need:
• Deep residential HVAC knowledge (diagnose, install, and train others)
• Sales instincts—you know presenting solutions isn't pushy, it's helping customers
• Leadership presence—coach and correct without drama
• Urgency and accountability—you fix problems, you don't wait for permission
